Nose
Raisins, dates and orange peel over Arran's signature fresh apple.
Palate
Rich and oily; dark fruit, milk chocolate and a pinch of spice.
Finish
Long, sweet and nutty, drying gently to oak.
The verdict
Arran bottles a lot of cask experiments, and this small batch was bottled exclusively for the Danish market. It's non-chill filtered, at natural colour, and comes at a generous 48%.
Pedro Ximénez can bury a spirit, but Arran's orchard fruit holds its own here. Add a few drops of water and the citrus comes forward.
