Intense and oily; citrus, vanilla, salt and malt.

The verdict
Glengyle was revived by the owners of Springbank and bottles under the Kilkerran name. The 8-year-old cask strength releases alternate between sherry and bourbon casks, and this is the bourbon edition.
Bourbon casks hide nothing, so it's all about the spirit: waxy, citric and quietly coastal. It needs a few minutes in the glass, or a drop of water.
